Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has now completed its latest round of invitations for Express Entry,\u00a0issuing another 4,300\u00a0Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates looking\u00a0for permanent residence (PR) in Canada. Today’s draw marked IRCC’s 10th all-program draw of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A reminder that all-program draws will consider applicants of all three Express Entry programs – the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) – for an ITA.<\/p>\n
Note:\u00a0While this was\u00a0a standard draw for IRCC, the Canadian government announced two weeks ago that\u00a0category-based Express Entry draws are expected to begin sometime later this summer.<\/p>\n
All Express Entry candidates who received an ITA in\u00a0today’s draw had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System\u00a0(CRS) score of 486. This cut-off score is the same cut-off as the last all-program\u00a0draw, which\u00a0took place almost three weeks ago on June 8th, 2023\u00a0(also a\u00a0minimum CRS score of 486).\u00a0<\/p>\n
IRCC should be on track to issue their next\u00a0round of invitations to Express Entry candidates still in the pool\u00a0in two weeks.<\/p>\n
About Express Entry<\/p>\n
Express Entry, the\u00a0primary method of immigration\u00a0for Canada’s federal government, is the application management system that manages immigration applications from three programs (the\u00a0CEC, the FSWP, and the FSTP). \u00a0<\/p>\n
These programs attract foreign skilled workers to Canada, providing these immigrants\u00a0with\u00a0permanent residence in this country. Gaining PR in this country\u00a0affords immigrants to Canada the same rights and freedoms as Canadian-born citizens.\u00a0<\/p>\n
To become a Canadian permanent resident through one of the three programs under\u00a0Express Entry, the first step for\u00a0interested candidates is to\u00a0self-verify their eligibility for at least one of the programs. Following the confirmation of eligibility, qualified candidates can make\u00a0an online profile on IRCC’s website. This profile\u00a0will formally enter the creator\u00a0into the pool of candidates eligible to receive an ITA through an Express Entry draw.\u00a0

Candidates\u00a0must now wait until IRCC issues their next round of invitations in an upcoming Express Entry draw. These draws usually\u00a0occur once every two weeks. During an Express Entry draw, eligible candidates in the pool who have\u00a0a CRS score above the\u00a0cut-off (for that particular draw) will receive an ITA.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Upon receiving their ITA,\u00a0Express Entry candidates officially become\u00a0Express Entry applicants. At this time, candidates will have\u00a060 days to submit their electronic Application for Permanent Residence (eAPR) to IRCC.<\/p>\n
