Here are the draw results from Canada’s latest Express Entry round of invitations issued on May 10, 2023.<\/p>\n
Canada has conducted its 12th Express Entry draw of 2023, as\u00a0Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 589\u00a0Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates to Canada with an\u00a0Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence (PR).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Today’s Express Entry\u00a0draw broke a streak of five straight all-program draws.<\/p>\n
All-program Express Entry draws\u00a0consider candidates from all three programs managed within the Express Entry application management system –\u00a0the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program\u00a0(FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).<\/p>\n
Today’s draw saw\u00a0the IRCC issue ITAs\u00a0to candidates\u00a0who had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System\u00a0(CRS) score of 691. This CRS cut-off score is down 57 points from the last PNP-only draw conducted by IRCC on March 1\u00a0(minimum CRS score of 748).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Express Entry\u00a0candidates who remain in\u00a0the pool can hope for\u00a0another draw in around two weeks.<\/p>\n
About Express Entry<\/p>\n
Express Entry is Canada’s federal system for managing\u00a0immigration applications from three programs – the\u00a0CEC, the FSWP, and the FSTP.<\/p>\n
Canada’s federal government uses Express Entry to attract foreign skilled workers to this country by offering them PR. Through this application management system,\u00a0qualified and interested international skilled workers within the candidate pool are given the\u00a0opportunity to start a new life in Canada while contributing to\u00a0the country both economically and socially. Canada has a well-documented need for immigration, and Express Entry draws help in the pursuit of Canada’s goals for growth and development.<\/p>\n
In order to apply for Canadian PR via Express Entry, a candidate for immigration to this country must receive an ITA. Becoming a candidate eligible for Express Entry requires a few steps before\u00a0foreign skilled workers can hope to have their name drawn by IRCC.\u00a0First, candidates must self-verify that they are\u00a0eligible\u00a0for at least one of\u00a0the three programs managed under Express Entry. Next, all eligible candidates can create an online Express Entry profile with\u00a0IRCC, at which time they can also review their CRS score.\u00a0

All foreign skilled workers within the Express Entry candidate pool\u00a0must now wait for IRCC’s next\u00a0Express Entry draw (formally known as\u00a0IRCC’s next “round of invitations”). Candidates with an\u00a0eligible CRS score (above the\u00a0cut-off CRS score for that particular draw) will receive an ITA and be able to submit an\u00a0electronic Application for Permanent Residence (eAPR) to IRCC\u00a0for permanent resident status in Canada.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Note: ITA recipients are given\u00a060 days to complete\u00a0(starting from the day they receive an ITA).<\/p>\n
