Ontario invites 668 candidates in latest PNP Tech Draw<\/p>\n
Ontario issued a total of 668 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in its latest Tech draw. The invitations are called Notifications of Interest (NOI). The draw, which is part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), took place on December 15.<\/p>\n
Invited candidates must have profiles in the Express Entry system, and must qualify through the province\u2019s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream. They must also have a score of between 460 and 468 under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), and have at least one year of work experience in one of six tech occupations.<\/p>\n
Candidates who received NOIs will have 45 calendar days to submit their application for provincial nomination.<\/p>\n
British Columbia issues 92 invitations in latest Tech Draw<\/p>\n
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) invited a total of 92 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on December 15. Candidates were invited through the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI) streams.<\/p>\n
The EEBC stream is for candidates who have Express Entry profiles. The SI stream is for skilled and semi-skilled workers who are in high-demand in the province. Invited candidates needed to have a minimum provincial score of at least 80 under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories.<\/p>\n
Canada eases requirements for Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot<\/p>\n
It is now easier to become eligible for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). Candidates are no longer required to have accumulated work experience continuously. The work experience will count if it was accumulated in the last three year prior to applying. One year of work experience is still required to be eligible for the program.<\/p>\n
This change applies to everyone who has already applied to the program, and those who wish to apply in the future.<\/p>\n
In addition, RNIP applicants who are waiting for a decision on their permanent residence application are now allowed to apply for a temporary work permit and will not be penalized because of processing delays.<\/p>\n
