The Government of British Columbia invited 256 Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in December 8 invitation round.<\/p>\n

Invitations went out to candidates in the Express Entry BC\u00a0Skilled Workers\u00a0and\u00a0Express Entry BC\u00a0International Graduates\u00a0categories.<\/p>\n

These candidates must have an active profile\u00a0in Canada’s\u00a0Express Entry\u00a0system,\u00a0which manages the profiles of\u00a0candidates\u00a0in Canada’s three main federal economic immigration categories: the\u00a0Federal Skilled Worker Class,\u00a0Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the\u00a0Canadian Experience Class.<\/p>\n

Express Entry candidates who obtain a\u00a0provincial nomination will be awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0score. With these additional points, Express Entry candidates move to the front of the line for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in a future\u00a0federal draw.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All candidates invited under the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration must have an\u00a0indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Candidates who obtained a nomination under the BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream will have their applications\u00a0for Canadian permanent residence processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) separate from the Express Entry system.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Individuals interested in applying for immigration to Canada under the Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams must first create an online profile using the BC PNP’s online system and submit a complete registration form.\u00a0Candidate profiles\u00a0are\u00a0assessed and assigned a score based on various factors, such as education, work experience and other factors.<\/p>\n
