{"id":1286,"date":"2024-08-29T17:43:03","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T17:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=1286"},"modified":"2024-08-29T17:43:03","modified_gmt":"2024-08-29T17:43:03","slug":"nova-scotia-invited-express-entry-candidates-with-job-offers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=1286","title":{"rendered":"Nova Scotia invited Express Entry candidates with job offers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_1200x630_crop_center-center_82_none\/Nova-Scotia-December-EE-Draw.jpg?mtime=1656366110\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">  <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Nova Scotia December EE Draw\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/Nova-Scotia-December-EE-Draw.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Nova Scotia December EE Draw\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/Nova-Scotia-December-EE-Draw.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nova Scotia held a new draw inviting Express Entry candidates with a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer on December 1.<\/p>\n<p>The invitations were issued through the Labour Market Priorities Stream, which allows Nova Scotia to search the federal Express Entry pool for candidates who meet provincial labour market needs.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the December 1 draw, candidates had to meet the following selection criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have received a job offer from a Nova Scotia      employer for full-time (at least 30 hours per week) skilled work in Nova      Scotia;<\/li>\n<li>have one year of qualified job-related experience;<\/li>\n<li>have\u00a0obtained a Canadian high school diploma or      equivalent;<\/li>\n<li>have\u00a0language ability in English or French at Canadian Language      Benchmark level 5;<\/li>\n<li>have a valid express entry profile and meet all IRCC criteria for the      express entry pool.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A total of 5 draws were held through the Labour Market Priorities Stream this year. Previous draws have targeted nurses, interactive media developers, auto body shops, francophones, and advertising, marketing or public relations professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) allows the province to nominate a set number of immigration candidates for Canadian permanent residence each year through nine streams tailored to specific economic needs in the province.<\/p>\n<p>Four of these streams are linked to the Express Entry system, which manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada\u2019s main economic-class immigration programs \u2014 Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program\u00a0and the Canadian Experience Class.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates who are approved for a provincial nomination from Nova Scotia receive an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System score and are effectively fast-tracked for an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.<\/p>\n<p>In order to be considered for a provincial nomination through Nova Scotia\u2019s Labour Market Priorities Stream, the first required step is to enter a profile in the Express Entry pool.<\/p>\n<p>The province of\u00a0Nova Scotia enjoys a privileged location on the Atlantic coast of Canada.
