Through the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI) streams, the BC PNP issued 80 invitations. These candidates were invited under two subcategories: Skilled Worker and International Graduate.<\/p>\n
Candidates must have had a score of at least 80 to have received an invitation.<\/p>\n
An additional 20 candidates were invited under the province\u2019s Entrepreneur Immigration program. Of those 20 candidates, 15 were invited under the Base Category, and five were invited under the Regional Pilot.<\/p>\n
The 15 candidates invited under the Base Category needed to have a minimum score of 122, and the five who were invited under the Regional Pilot needed 109.<\/p>\n
The Base Category is aimed at experienced entrepreneurs who are planning to start a business or take over a business in B.C.<\/p>\n
The Regional Pilot\u2019s purpose is to attract entrepreneurs in certain regions of the province in order to promote economic development.<\/p>\n
British Columbia holds provincial draws through the province\u2019s various immigration programs on a weekly basis. <\/p>\n

How to apply through EEBC or SI?<\/p>\n
Candidates interested in immigrating to British Columbia through the EEBC or SI streams are first required to create a profile under the province\u2019s online portal. Candidates must also register under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).<\/p>\n
Those in the online portal are assessed and given a score based on their work experience, education, language ability and where they would be employed.<\/p>\n
Once an applicant is accepted and receives a provincial nomination, they may apply for permanent residence with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).<\/p>\n
Those with Express Entry profiles will receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This means that they will almost certainly receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence in the next Express Entry draw.<\/p>\n
