{"id":1478,"date":"2024-09-02T19:19:14","date_gmt":"2024-09-02T19:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=1478"},"modified":"2024-09-02T19:19:14","modified_gmt":"2024-09-02T19:19:14","slug":"b-c-issues-173-invitations-in-first-draw-of-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=1478","title":{"rendered":"B.C. issues 173 invitations in first draw of 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_1200x630_crop_center-center_82_none\/Optimized-BC-Jan-25.jpg?mtime=1656366074\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">  <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Optimized BC Jan 25\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/Optimized-BC-Jan-25.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Optimized BC Jan 25\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/Optimized-BC-Jan-25.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>British Columbia issued its first invitations of the year to immigration candidates on January 7.<\/p>\n<p>The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued 173 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence to candidates in the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories.<\/p>\n<p>In order for candidates to be selected through the Express Entry BC Category, they must have a valid profile in the federal Express Entry pool.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry is Canada\u2019s main pathway for skilled immigrants who want to obtain Canadian permanent residence.<\/p>\n<p>Those nominated through the Express Entry BC provincial nominee program will be effectively guaranteed an invitation to apply for permanent residence in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.<\/p>\n<p>The Skills Immigration Category is for skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupations are in high demand in the province.
