Through Saskatchewan’s Entrepreneur Category, prospective immigrants can indicate their interest in operating a business in Saskatchewan and living in the province.<\/p>\n
The first step in the application process is to fill out an online survey with information about entrepreneurial experience, assets and a Business Establishment Plan (BEP), among other criteria.<\/p>\n
Those who meet the minimum entry criteria are then accepted into a pool for potential selection and assigned a score out of 160 points based on the information they submitted.<\/p>\n
The SINP Entrepreneurs Category Expression of Interest System Points Grid assigns scores for objective measures of business performance and aims to select innovative entrepreneurs who will transfer their skills to Saskatchewan and diversify the province\u2019s growing labour market.<\/p>\n
Selected candidates in the latest draw scored an average of 125 points, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 120 points. This is the fourth consecutive draw with these scores.<\/p>\n
In order to be considered eligible under the Entrepreneur Category, applicants must have a minimum net worth of $500,000, at least three years of entrepreneurial experience within the past 10 years and are required to make minimum equity investment of $300,000 in Regina or Saskatoon, or a minimum of $200,000 in any other Saskatchewan community.<\/p>\n
The SINP Entrepreneur program will conduct the next EOI pool selections draw on November 7, 2019.<\/p>\n
