British Columbia\u2019s Provincial Nominee Program’s Tech Pilot issued 57 Skills Immigration and Express Entry B.C. invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in a new Tech Pilot draw held June 25.<\/p>\n

The Tech Pilot was introduced by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) in 2017 to address labour needs in B.C.\u2019s tech and innovation industries.<\/p>\n

It is designed to help the province recruit and retain foreign talent in 29 in-demand occupations in the technology sector.<\/p>\n

The initiative features weekly invitations, accelerated processing times as well as BC PNP sessions and events specifically focused on the technology sector.<\/p>\n

Applicants under the BC PNP Tech Pilot are required to have a one-year, full-time valid job offer. The job offer must have at least 120 days remaining at the time of application to the BC PNP.<\/p>\n

The 57 invitations issued on June 25 were distributed over the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories of the\u00a0BC PNP\u2019s Skills Immigration and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC)\u00a0streams.<\/p>\n

This was the sixth consecutive Tech Pilot draw with a minimum score of 90\u00a0in each of\u00a0the four categories targeted.<\/p>\n

Scores are based on information provided by candidates when registering with the BC PNP, which is the first required step for most Skills Immigration and Express Entry categories.<\/p>\n

The Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS)\u00a0is a points-based system\u00a0that evaluates candidates based on factors like education, work experience and proficiency in English or French.<\/p>\n
