Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)\u00a0applied the tie-break rule for the May 1 draw. The specified tie break date and time was November 5, 2018 at 12:27:07 UTC.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The tie break procedure means that all candidates with a\u00a0CRS\u00a0of 450 and higher who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool \u2014 before the designated tie-break date and time \u2014 received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) on May 1.<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s Express Entry\u00a0system\u00a0is the online application management system for three economic immigration programs: the\u00a0Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class and\u00a0Federal Skilled Trades\u00a0Class.<\/p>\n<p>Profiles submitted into the Express Entry pool receive a score out of a maximum 1,200 points based on factors that include age, education, work experience and proficiency in one or both of Canada&#8217;s official languages (English and French).<\/p>\n<p>Candidates\u00a0in the Express Entry pool can take steps to improve their score and ranking.<\/p>\n<p>Those invited have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence application package to IRCC from the date of receiving an ITA.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the\u00a0May 1 Express Entry draw, please read the\u00a0latest article on\u00a0CIC News.com.<\/p>\n<h4> Discover your Canadian immigration options<\/h4>\n<h3>Express Entry quick facts, from January 1, 2015, to May 1, 2019<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Launch date: January 1, 2015<\/li>\n<li>First draw from the pool: January 31, 2015<\/li>\n<li>Most recent draw from the pool: May 1, 2019<\/li>\n<li>Minimum CRS points required for selection in the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC): 199 (May 26, 2017)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum CRS points required for selection in the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC): 413 (May 31, 2017)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum CRS points required for selection in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC): 413 (May 31, 2017)<\/li>\n<li>Largest number of invitations to apply issued in any one draw: 3,923 (April 12, 2017)<\/li>\n<li>Fewest invitations to apply issued in any one draw: 143 (May 26, 2017.
