{"id":1635,"date":"2024-09-06T10:26:38","date_gmt":"2024-09-06T10:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=1635"},"modified":"2024-09-06T10:26:38","modified_gmt":"2024-09-06T10:26:38","slug":"saskatchwan-issues-first-occupation-specific-eoi-invitations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=1635","title":{"rendered":"Saskatchwan issues first occupation-specific EOI invitations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_1200x630_crop_center-center_82_none\/river-in-saskatoon.jpg?mtime=1656366434\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">  <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"River in saskatoon\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/river-in-saskatoon.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"River in saskatoon\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/river-in-saskatoon.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program issued 324 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to International Skilled Worker candidates in the first occupation-specific draw since the program&#8217;s Expression of Interest system was introduced last year.<\/p>\n<p>The April 17 invitations were issued to candidates who have submitted Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles under the International Skilled Worker\u00a0Express Entry\u00a0and Occupation In-Demand\u00a0sub-categories.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates invited in this draw also had to meet the minimum cut-off score of 60 on the SINP&#8217;s unique\u00a0points assessment grid.<\/p>\n<p>The targeted occupations in the April 17 draw were the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NOC 2154 &#8211; Land Surveyors;<\/li>\n<li>NOC 225- Technical occupations in geomatics and meteorology;<\/li>\n<li>NOC 6342 &#8211; Tailors, dressmakers, furriers and milliners, and<\/li>\n<li>NOC 7332 &#8211; Appliance servicers and repairers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) also updated its In-Demand Occupations List, which now consists of 20 occupations, with six occupations not requiring professional licensing from a regulatory body.<\/p>\n<p>While\u00a0candidates had to demonstrate work experience in a specified occupation, a job offer is not a requirement for\u00a0either the Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for either of these categories, foreign nationals\u00a0must first register an EOI profile with the province and obtain a\u00a0ranking score out of 100 based on the SINP&#8217;s points system.
