The Government of British Columbia issued new invitations to 23 Entrepreneur Immigration candidates with scores as low as 106 in a draw held March 26.<\/p>\n
This is the lowest recorded eligibility score since the Entrepreneur Immigration stream launched in 2015.<\/p>\n
The first step in applying to the\u00a0British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Entrepreneur Immigration stream is to register through the BC PNP Online system and\u00a0enter the candidate pool.<\/p>\n
Once a profile is created, registrants are automatically assigned a score out of 120 based on their self-declared information. The BC PNP reviews profiles and may adjust a registrant’s score within four to six weeks of registration submission.<\/p>\n
As part of the registration, potential Entrepreneur Immigration candidates have to include a short business concept and pay\u00a0a non-refundable fee of $300 CAD.\u00a0Immigrant entrepreneurs must at least 32 points in their business concept to be\u00a0considered\u00a0under the Entrepreneur Immigration stream. The BC PNP says a submitted business concept is\u00a0scored within six\u00a0weeks\u00a0of registration.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The maximum cumulative score available under the\u00a0Entrepreneur\u00a0Immigration is 200.\u00a0Points are assigned\u00a0based on factors that include business ownership\/senior management experience, personal net worth, and adaptability.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Registrants invited to apply on March 26\u00a0will have up to\u00a0120 days (approximately four months)\u00a0from the date of invitation to submit a complete Entrepreneur Immigration application to the BC PNP.<\/p>\n
If an application is later approved, immigrant entrepreneurs sign a Performance Agreement and receive a Letter of Confirmation to apply for a two-year work permit with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).\u00a0<\/p>\n
