Although the increase in fees for 2022 was credited to a 2.64%\u00a0increase in the Quebec consumer price index, the province noted that &#8220;the 3% adjustment [in 2023]\u00a0corresponds to the increase proposed by the Minister of Finance of Quebec and is not based, as usual, on the consumer price index of Quebec.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Those interested in immigrating permanently to Quebec through an economic program are required to submit an application for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). This can be accomplished through\u00a0the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP), the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) or one of several\u00a0Quebec Business Immigration programs. Only then are they able to apply\u00a0to the federal government for permanent residence.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, foreign nationals wishing to work or study in Quebec\u00a0temporarily are required to apply for a\u00a0Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) with the provincial government. Once they receive their CAQ, these individuals can proceed with\u00a0submitting a temporary work or study permit application\u00a0to the Government of Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Quebec Immigration Processing Fees for 2023<\/p>\n<p>The fees outlined below\u00a0are applicable to Quebec&#8217;s provincial application processing only.
