The province of Saskatchewan issued its first Entrepreneur invitations of 2019 on January 3.<\/p>\n
A total of 90 candidates were invited with scores ranging from 115 to 150 under the category’s points assessment grid.<\/p>\n
Saskatchewan’s Entrepreneur Category is for eligible candidates who would like to establish, acquire or partner in a business that meets specified provincial criteria.<\/p>\n
In order to be eligible, interested immigrant entrepreneurs must first submit an Expression of Interest to the\u00a0Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).<\/p>\n
An EOI is a pre-application that screens interested candidates for eligibility and provides them with a ranking score based on the Entrepreneur Category’s\u00a0points assessment grid.<\/p>\n
Entrepreneurs\u00a0who are invited to apply for an\u00a0approval letter,\u00a0and are subsequently approved, can then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for a\u00a0Temporary Work Permit.<\/p>\n
Those\u00a0who fulfill the terms of their Business Performance Agreement with the SINP for at least six months can then apply to\u00a0the SINP for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.<\/p>\n
