{"id":1711,"date":"2024-09-08T04:30:35","date_gmt":"2024-09-08T04:30:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=1711"},"modified":"2024-09-08T04:30:35","modified_gmt":"2024-09-08T04:30:35","slug":"bc-issues-first-invitations-of-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=1711","title":{"rendered":"BC issues first invitations of 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_1200x630_crop_center-center_82_none\/BC_Draw_Jan2.jpg?mtime=1656366776\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">  <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"BC Draw Jan2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/BC_Draw_Jan2.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"BC Draw Jan2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/BC_Draw_Jan2.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The province of British Columbia issued new invitations January 2 to Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC candidates.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 151 invitations were issued in this latest draw to candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate\u00a0categories of both the Skills Immigration\u00a0and Express Entry BC streams and Skills Immigration \u2014\u00a0Entry Level and Semi-Skilled candidates.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum score was 85 for Skilled Worker candidates in both streams and 95 for International Graduate candidates.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum score for Entry Level and Semi-Skilled candidates was 68.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals interested in applying for immigration to Canada under the Skills Immigration or Express Entry streams must first create an online profile using the BC PNP&#8217;s online registration system. Candidate profiles\u00a0are\u00a0assessed and assigned a score based on various factors, such as education, work experience and other factors.<\/p>\n<p>Most immigration candidates must have an indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province in order to be eligible under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program&#8217;s various streams, including the streams that were the focus of the January 2 draw.<\/p>\n<p>B.C.&#8217;s Express Entry Stream is linked to the federal\u00a0Express Entry\u00a0system, which manages the profiles of\u00a0candidates\u00a0for Canada&#8217;s three main federal economic immigration categories: the\u00a0Federal Skilled Worker Class,\u00a0Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the\u00a0Canadian Experience Class.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination\u00a0from the\u00a0British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)\u00a0are awarded an additional 600 points towards their\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0score, effectively guaranteeing an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates\u00a0nominated through the\u00a0BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream\u00a0will have their applications\u00a0for Canadian permanent residence processed by the Government of Canada outside the Express Entry system.<\/p>\n<h4><em>Discover the eligibility criteria for the\u00a0BC PNP\u00a0immigration categories.\u00a0<\/em><\/h4>\n<h3>The minimum scores for each category invited in the\u00a0January 2 draw were as follows:<\/h3>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>Date of draw<\/th>\n<th>BC PNP Category<\/th>\n<th>Minimum Score Required<\/th>\n<th>Number of ITAs Issued<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>January 2, 2019<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>EEBC \u2013 Skilled Worker<\/td>\n<td>85<\/td>\n<td>151<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>EEBC \u2013 International Graduate<\/td>\n<td>95<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>SI &#8211; Skilled Worker<\/td>\n<td>85<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>SI \u2013 International Graduate<\/td>\n<td>95<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>SI &#8211; Entry Level and Semi-Skilled<\/td>\n<td>68<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h4><em>Stay up to date and track the latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) updates with the interactive\u00a0Canada PNP Finder.
