New invitations to apply for a provincial nomination went out to eligible British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot immigration candidates on November 7.<\/p>\n
A total of\u00a035 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination were issued to skilled workers and international graduates under the BC PNP’s\u00a0Skills Immigration and\u00a0Express Entry BC\u00a0streams. These candidates\u00a0are required to have a\u00a0one-year full-time job offer\u00a0in one of the\u00a029 in-demand occupations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Express Entry BC candidates who obtain a nomination from the Government of British Columbia will be awarded an additional 600 points toward their overall Express Entry\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0score. These additional points\u00a0effectively guarantee\u00a0these candidates an Invitation To Apply (ITA)\u00a0for Canadian permanent residence\u00a0at a later federal\u00a0Express Entry draw.<\/p>\n
The remaining\u00a0Skills Immigration candidates will have their\u00a0permanent residence\u00a0applications processed directly\u00a0by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)\u00a0if their provincial nomination applications are approved.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The first step to apply under the\u00a0Skilled Worker\u00a0and\u00a0International Graduate\u00a0categories of the BC PNP is the creation of an online profile and registration in the program’s\u00a0Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).<\/p>\n
Once registration is complete, a candidate\u00a0is assigned a SIRS score based on their credentials, such as completed education, work experience and adaptability factors.<\/p>\n
