The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued 397 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to registrants under its Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams in a draw that took place on September 5.<\/p>\n

During periodic draws, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issues invitations to apply to immigration candidates with the highest scores under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).<\/p>\n

Candidates\u00a0nominated under the\u00a0Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker and Express Entry BC: International Graduate\u00a0categories will be awarded an additional\u00a0600 points towards their\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0score, leaving them well-positioned to receive a federal Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a later Express Entry draw.<\/p>\n

BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream candidates who are nominated will have their Canadian permanent residence applications processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) separate from the Express Entry system.<\/p>\n

In most cases, candidates\u00a0applying for immigration under the BC PNP require an\u00a0indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province. However, candidates with job offers in one of the 29 occupations under the\u00a0BC PNP Tech Pilot\u00a0are required to have a job offer that lasts for at least one year (365 days) among other requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once an online profile is completed through BC’s SIRS, candidates\u00a0are assigned a score based on various factors, such as education and work experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n
