The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program has issued 466 invitations in its first Express Entry-linked Expression of Interest draw.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0lowest-ranked candidate invited in this draw had a score of 68 points under the SINP’s unique points assessment grid.\u00a0The SINP also revised its in-demand occupations list, which now consists of 22 occupations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the update, the SINP said\u00a0all EOI profiles selected\u00a0had an\u00a0Educational Credential Assessment. Candidates issued an Invitation to Apply for a provincial nomination in this draw have 60 days to submit a complete online application to the SINP.<\/p>\n

In July, the SINP announced the\u00a0move to an EOI system for all applications to the Saskatchewan Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand\u00a0sub-categories. All foreign\u00a0nationals interested in immigrating to Saskatchewan under these popular sub-categories are first required to register in the SINP OASIS online system and complete an EOI profile before applying.<\/p>\n

Candidates who receive an invitation to apply and successfully obtain\u00a0a provincial nomination certificate from Saskatchewan are awarded 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0points toward their Express Entry CRS score.<\/p>\n

Steps to obtaining a SINP nomination<\/h3>\n

In addition to having an active Express Entry profile, candidates interested in applying for a provincial nomination under the SINP must begin the process by\u00a0completing a\u00a0profile and answering questions related to work experience, education and language proficiency in English or French, among other factors.<\/p>\n

Candidates are then assessed according to Saskatchewan\u2019s unique assessment grid, which assigns candidates\u00a0a score out of 100. To be entered into the SINP’s EOI pool, candidates must obtain at least 60 points and satisfy other eligibility requirements under the Express Entry sub-category.<\/p>\n

The SINP says it will take the following steps to rank candidates in the EOI pool:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Identify EOI candidates with the highest point score.<\/li>\n
  2. Prioritize candidates with connections to the province. This includes candidates who receive points for having a close family relative in Saskatchewan, past work experience in Saskatchewan, and\/or past study experience in Saskatchewan.<\/li>\n
  3. Prioritize candidates with the most work experience years declared and the highest language scores obtained.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
