The lowest-ranked candidate had a score of 519 under Manitoba&#8217;s unique Expression of Interest (EOI) points system, which is a new low for its Express Entry Sub-stream.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates whose application for a provincial nomination is successful receive an additional 600 points toward their\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0score. With the additional 600 points, candidates are well-positioned for an\u00a0Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a later federal Express Entry draw.<\/p>\n<p>Another 217 candidates in\u00a0the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream\u00a0with an EOI score of 572 or above were issued LAAs. These candidates met the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>had a close relative residing in Manitoba or past education or work experience in Manitoba;<\/li>\n<li>demonstrated at least six months of recent experience in an occupation on Manitoba\u2019s\u00a0 In-Demand Occupations list; and<\/li>\n<li>had a minimum language proficiency of CLB 5 unless work experience is primarily in a regulated occupation (minimum CLB 7) or a compulsory trade (CLB 6).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A further 32 candidates with EOI scores of 639 or above were issued LAAs under the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream&#8217;s Strategic Recruitment Initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The province&#8217;s Strategic Recruitment Initiative includes recruitment missions, where provincial representatives interview foreign skilled workers overseas and later issue LAAs to individuals who meet the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)\u00a0eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n<p>The July 6 draw also issued 104 LAAs to candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream.<\/p>\n<p>Skilled workers in Manitoba and overseas who received a LAA in the\u00a0July 6 draw and whose application for a provincial nomination is successful may submit an application for Canadian permanent residence to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Candidates interested in applying to the immigration streams managed by the MPNP\u00a0must first submit an EOI to the province. Skilled Workers in Manitoba are\u00a0not\u00a0subjected to a points-based assessment to determine their eligibility (though points are assigned to the candidate once he or she enters the pool of candidates).<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about\u00a0eligibility for the MPNP Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream.<\/p>\n<h3>MPNP Skilled Workers Overseas<\/h3>\n<p>This MPNP sub-category is for qualified skilled workers who may be outside Canada but who can demonstrate a strong connection to the province and its labour market. A points-based system is used to assess candidates according to factors such as age, language proficiency, work experience, education, and adaptability.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about\u00a0eligibility for the MPNP Skilled Workers Overseas Stream.<\/p>\n<h3>MPNP Skilled Workers Overseas \u2014 Express Entry\u00a0sub-stream\/pathway<\/h3>\n<p>This sub-stream is an immigration pathway for\u00a0candidates who may be eligible under a MPNP Skilled Workers Overseas stream, and who also meet Express Entry criteria and have an active Express Entry profile.
