An additional 53 LAAs were issued under the\u00a0Skilled Worker Overseas Stream&#8217;s Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The score for those candidates was 698.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>An additional 262 LAAs were issued to candidates in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program&#8217;s Skilled Worker Overseas Stream. The lowest-ranked candidate invited in this cohort was 584.<\/p>\n<p>In order to be considered by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) for the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream, candidates submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A close relative residing in Manitoba or past education or work experience in Manitoba;<\/li>\n<li>At least 6 months of recent experience in an occupation on Manitoba\u2019s In-demand Occupations list; and<\/li>\n<li>A minimum language proficiency of CLB 5 unless work experience is primarily in a regulated occupation (minimum CLB 7) or a compulsory trade (CLB 6).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manitoba&#8217;s Strategic Recruitment Initiative includes recruitment missions, where MPNP representatives interview foreign skilled workers abroad and issue LAAs to candidates who are eligible and have made a formal\u00a0EOI to the MPNP. In addition, the MPNP may invite people who have undertaken a pre-approved Exploratory Visit and passed an interview with a program official.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about Exploratory Visits, please visit the\u00a0Manitoba Skilled Worker Immigration Stream\u00a0page.<\/p>\n<p>The MPNP conducts draws based on an Expression of Interest system wherein potential candidates submit an Expression of Interest, or EOI, to the province and their profiles are assigned a score based on the answers provided in the MPNP&#8217;s online system.
