The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has invited 34 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through its weekly Tech Pilot draw, which took place on May 9.<\/p>\n
The invitations were issued\u00a0to eligible British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)\u00a0candidates\u00a0who have a valid job offer in one of the\u00a0Tech Pilot program’s 32 key technology occupations.<\/p>\n
The Tech Pilot program was created in 2017 to help support British Columbia’s technology sector needs by attracting foreign tech workers to the province.<\/p>\n
Candidates invited under the BC’s Express Entry-aligned streams, such as the\u00a0Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker\u00a0and\u00a0Express Entry BC: International Graduate\u00a0may receive 600 additional points under the\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0if their\u00a0application for provincial nomination is approved.<\/p>\n
For\u00a0candidates invited in the Skills Immigration Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories, applications for permanent residence are processed outside the Express Entry system after they receive a successful nomination from BC.\u00a0<\/p>\n
For individuals interested in immigrating to Canada through the BC PNP, it is important to begin the process by creating an online profile with the BC PNP and complete all sections of the registration form. <\/p>\n
Once a profile is assessed, applicants receive a score based on civil status, education, work experience, and other factors. They are then entered into BC PNP selection pool.<\/p>\n
BC PNP candidates must have an indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province\u00a0to become eligible for the majority of Canadian immigration categories managed by the BC PNP.<\/p>\n
