The province of British Columbia issued 225 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in a draw that was held April 18.<\/p>\n
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, BC PNP, says candidates invited in the April 18 draw were registered in\u00a0categories under its Skills Immigration and Express Entry pathways.<\/p>\n
Candidates who are invited under the\u00a0Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker\u00a0and\u00a0Express Entry BC: International Graduate\u00a0and whose application for provincial nomination is approved by British Columbia receive 600 additional points under the\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0and leaves them well positioned to receive an\u00a0Invitation to Apply (ITA)\u00a0in\u00a0a later federal Express Entry draw.<\/p>\n
Candidates invited through the Skills Immigration categories\u00a0will\u00a0have their\u00a0applications for permanent residence processed outside the Express Entry system after they receive a nomination from BC.\u00a0<\/p>\n
For individuals interested in immigrating to Canada through the BC PNP, it is important to begin the process by creating an online profile with the BC PNP and complete all sections of the registration form. Once a profile is assessed, applicants receive a score based on civil status, education, work experience, and other factors. They are then entered into BC PNP selection pool.<\/p>\n
BC PNP candidates must have an indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province\u00a0to become eligible for the majority of Canadian immigration categories managed by the BC PNP.<\/p>\n
