The province of Ontario has issued 13 invitations to apply under its Entrepreneur Stream.<\/p>\n
The minimum score for this draw was 132.<\/p>\n
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program’s\u00a0Entrepreneur Stream operates on an ‘Expression of Interest’ (EOI) model, whereby eligible participants must first declare their interest in the program.\u00a0The EOI model functions\u00a0on a\u00a0self-declared points-based system\u00a0and participants\u00a0are invited to apply based on their score.<\/p>\n
Successful applicants obtain a temporary work permit support letter\u00a0\u2014\u00a0based on a performance agreement\u00a0\u2014\u00a0to establish the business in Ontario.\u00a0If the investment and job creation agreements outlined in the performance agreement are adhered to, entrepreneurs\u00a0may then be nominated by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) for Canadian permanent residence.<\/p>\n
Along with news of the latest invitations, Ontario also issued a notice that EOIs that were\u00a0one year or older have now been removed from the EOI selection pool.<\/p>\n
“As per our guidelines, registrants with EOIs that have been removed are welcome to resubmit an EOI to the selection pool,” the notice says.<\/p>\n
