The pilot was launched in 2017 to help the province attract and retain foreign tech workers and graduates in British Columbia.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered under the BC PNP&#8217;s tech-pilot, candidates must be registered in BC&#8217;s unique Skilled Immigration system and meet eligibility criteria for one the BC PNP&#8217;s Skills Immigration Stream\u00a0and Express Entry BC categories.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates\u00a0with successful applications under\u00a0Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker\u00a0and\u00a0Express Entry BC: International Graduate\u00a0will obtain\u00a0600 additional points towards their\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0score\u00a0and an\u00a0Invitation to Apply (ITA)\u00a0in a future Express Entry draw. An\u00a0invitation to apply for\u00a0the BC PNP is not the same as the Invitation to\u00a0Apply, or ITA, issued at the federal level.<\/p>\n<p>For the remaining candidates invited through the Skills Immigration categories, permanent residence applications will be processed outside the Express Entry system after they receive a provincial nomination certificate from BC.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Find out your options for immigration under the BC PNP with our free online assessment.<\/p>\n<h3>The BC PNP tech-only pilot process<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Once a candidate\u00a0has\u00a0determined his or her\u00a0category, he or she may register online and\u00a0receive a registration score. Registration is free.<\/li>\n<li>Every week (subject to processing capacity), the BC PNP will conduct a tech draw and invite the highest-scoring technology sector registrants to apply.<\/li>\n<li>Invited candidates have up to 30 calendar days from the date of invitation to submit a complete online application.
