The Masters Graduate Stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program reached its intake limit in less than an hour in the most recent intake period on April 5, 2018.<\/p>\n
The Masters Graduate Stream is a popular Canadian immigration pathway for eligible international graduates of Ontario universities. Along with the\u00a0PhD Graduate\u00a0Stream, it is one of two OINP streams for international graduates in Ontario that do not require a job offer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Ontario government stated that the Masters Graduate Stream would open and close intermittently throughout 2018, to meet the limits of the federal nomination allocation for the province. The International Masters Graduate stream also opened on January 29\u00a0and reached its intake limit that day.<\/p>\n
The Masters Graduate and PhD\u00a0Graduate Streams under the OINP’s International Student Category are not linked\u00a0to the\u00a0Express Entry system. Following a successful\u00a0nomination through these streams, applicants are offered a\u00a0‘base’ provincial nomination certificate, after which they may then apply to Canada’s federal government for permanent residence.<\/p>\n
Candidates\u00a0who meet the eligibility criteria for one of these two streams may submit an application during the next intake period through the OINP’s unique\u00a0online e-Filing Portal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
