The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued 58 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to skilled workers and graduates in the Information Technology (IT) sector.<\/p>\n
The latest\u00a0draw, which took place on March 28, prioritized\u00a0candidates with a job offer in one of the 32 eligible occupations under the BC PNP Tech Pilot. The pilot is designed to help attract\u00a0tech workers and graduates to settle in the province\u00a0and satisfy labour\u00a0market needs.<\/p>\n
The minimum score required was lower than last week’s draw, which invited workers, graduates, and entrepreneurs outside the tech pilot.<\/p>\n
To be considered under the BC PNP, candidates must be registered in BC’s unique Skilled Immigration system under one the program’s Skills Immigration Stream and Express Entry BC categories.<\/p>\n
Candidates who secure a provincial nomination under\u00a0Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker\u00a0and\u00a0Express Entry BC: International Graduate\u00a0will receive\u00a0600 additional points under the\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0and an\u00a0Invitation to Apply (ITA)\u00a0in a later Express Entry draw. It is worth noting an\u00a0invitation to apply for\u00a0the BC PNP is not the same as the Invitation to\u00a0Apply, or ITA, issued at the federal level.<\/p>\n
Candidates invited through the Skills Immigration categories\u00a0will\u00a0have their\u00a0applications for permanent residence processed outside the Express Entry system after they receive a nomination from BC.\u00a0<\/p>\n
