Ontario\u2019s federal nomination allocation is 6,000 in 2017.The Employer Job Offer Stream &#8211; Foreign Workers and International Students is time sensitive. Applications to must be submitted via the OINP e-Filing Portal within 21 days of registering a profile.<\/p>\n<p>These streams will also only be accepting applications for a limited time. Applicants will be informed when the OINP is no longer accepting applications to these streams through an update on the OINP page.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements to apply for International Student Category with Job offer Stream<\/p>\n<p>International students with an approved job offer from a Canadian employer are eligible to apply under this stream if they:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have graduated from, or have met the requirements of a full-time degree or diploma program, at an eligible publicly-funded Canadian college or university;\n<ul>\n<li>The program of study must have been at least two years in length,\u00a0OR\u00a0a one-year post-graduate certificate program, which requires a previous degree or diploma.<\/li>\n<li>The previous degree or diploma may have been obtained outside Canada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Have completed at least half of their studies in Canada;<\/li>\n<li>Have acquired an approved permanent, full-time job offer in a skilled occupation (NOC levels 0, A, or B); and\n<ul>\n<li>The job offer must meet the entry-level wage levels in Ontario for that occupation.<\/li>\n<li>Note: the job need not\u00a0be in the same field as the degree or diploma.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Apply within two years of the date on which\u00a0they\u00a0received their Canadian degree or diploma.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Minimum Requirements to apply for Foreign Worker with Job offer Stream<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Requirements for Applicants<\/p>\n<p>In order to be eligible as a foreign worker under the OINP General Category, applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have at least two years (24 months) of paid and verifiable work experience, either in Canada or abroad, within the previous five years in their\u00a0intended occupation<\/li>\n<li>Have the appropriate registration in Ontario, if applying for a position in a regulated occupation in the province;<\/li>\n<li>Have a permanent, full-time job offer in a skilled occupation (NOC levels 0, A, or B) from the employer that is also submitting an application; and<\/li>\n<li>Be residing abroad OR\u00a0residing, working or visiting Canada on a valid work permit, study permit or visitor record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements for Employers<\/p>\n<p>In order to be eligible under this immigration category, the Ontario employer must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have been in active business for at least three years;<\/li>\n<li>Have business premises in Ontario where the prospective nominee will work;<\/li>\n<li>Be in compliance with all provincial labour laws, including, but not limited to, employment standards, health and safety, and labour relations legislation; and\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>For employers located inside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA):\n<ul>\n<li>Have a minimum gross revenue for the most recent fiscal year of $1,000,000, and<\/li>\n<li>Have at least\u00a0five permanent full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents at the location where the candidate is to work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>For employers located outside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA):\n<ul>\n<li>Have a minimum gross revenue for the most recent fiscal year of\u00a0$500,000, and<\/li>\n<li>Have at least three permanent full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents at the location where the candidate is to work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The OINP states that employers may have to demonstrate sufficient proof of recruitment efforts if the applicant is living abroad, is visiting Canada, or is working in a province or territory other than Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements for Positions<\/p>\n<p>The job position offered must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The position must meet the description of a \u201cskilled occupation\u201d defined by the government as NOC level 0, A, or B;<\/li>\n<li>The job offered must be for a permanent, full-time position (minimum 1,560 hours of paid employment in a 12-month period);<\/li>\n<li>The offer must meet prevailing wage rates\u00a0for that occupation and region in Ontario;<\/li>\n<li>The offer must\u00a0not affect the settlement of any labour dispute or the employment of any person involved in such a dispute;<\/li>\n<li>The offer must\u00a0not adversely affect employment or training opportunities for Canadian citizens or permanent residents in Ontario; and<\/li>\n<li>The position itself must be necessary for the company\u2019s operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>To learn more about your Canadian immigration options through the Employer Job Offer stream, as well as other\u00a0Canadian immigration programs, please fill out a <\/em>free online assessment<em> today.<\/em><\/p>\n<p> Please visit:  <br \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/teo-bg.com\/en\/tractors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Our Sponsor<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The OINP will be monitoring the intake of applications with respect to the limits of Ontario\u2019s federal nomination allocation.
