The draw was conducted the morning of June 15, 2016 and is the thirteenth to take place so far this year. Each candidate who received an ITA had 488 or more Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.<\/p>\n<p>The previous draw, which took place on June 1, required candidates to have 483 points in order to be invited to apply.<\/p>\n<p>The CRS point requirement for this draw is\u00a0slightly higher than the previous two, but this round of invitations also saw a reduced number of ITAs issued. This factor would have had a significant bearing on the increase in the CRS point requirement.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates who have been\u00a0issued an ITA are now in a position to submit an application for Canadian permanent residence. Accompanying family members, including spouses or common-law partners, as well as dependent children, may also come to Canada along with the principal applicant.<\/p>\n<p>The latest edition of the Canada Immigration Newsletter\u00a0provides analysis of the latest news on Express Entry-aligned\u00a0Provincial Nominee Programs in Western Canada, including the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), and the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).<\/p>\n<h3>Express Entry<\/h3>\n<p>Express Entry is Canada&#8217;s immigration management system for the federal economic immigration programs, namely:\u00a0Federal Skilled Worker,\u00a0Federal Skilled Trades, and the\u00a0Canadian Experience Class. The system was first launched on January 1, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible candidates may submit a profile into the Express Entry pool, where they are ranked according to the CRS. The government of Canada selects the top-ranked candidates on a priority basis when it performs one of its frequent draws from the pool. Candidates who are issued an ITA\u00a0for permanent residence then have 60 days to submit a complete e-application, from which point the government of Canada aims to process the application within six
