{"id":3208,"date":"2024-10-10T08:04:04","date_gmt":"2024-10-10T08:04:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=3208"},"modified":"2024-10-10T08:04:04","modified_gmt":"2024-10-10T08:04:04","slug":"ontario-to-introduce-new-immigration-legislation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=3208","title":{"rendered":"Ontario To Introduce New Immigration Legislation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_1200x630_crop_center-center_82_none\/ontariomap.jpg?mtime=1656366079\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">  <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Ontariomap\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/ontariomap.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Ontariomap\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_newsThumbnail\/ontariomap.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p> The province of Ontario, the most populate province in Canada, is set to introduce an Immigration Act that would, if passed, assist the province in working with the federal government to capitalize on the economic benefits of immigration.<\/p>\n<p>The legislation is seen by the provincial government as a precursor to changes in its    Provincial Nominee Program, which is expected to see increases in the    federal government&#8217;s allocation of economic immigrants to Ontario, as well as other provinces.<\/p>\n<p>    The proposed Ontario Immigration Act would:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>        Facilitate Ontario&#8217;s work with the federal government on the recruitment, selection and admission of skilled immigrants.<\/li>\n<li>        Strengthen the province&#8217;s ongoing efforts to reduce fraud by protecting the integrity of its immigrant selection program and improve accountability.<\/li>\n<li>        Increase transparency and the sharing of information with Ontario\u2019s immigration partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>    \u201cThis proposed legislation is about making Ontario\u2019s economy stronger through immigration,\u201d said Ontario\u2019s Minister of Immigration, Citizenship and    International Trade, Michael Chan. \u201cImmigrants bring with them connections to international economies, which is why the Premier reassigned International    Trade to the immigration ministry.
