The Saskatchewan PNP is officially called\u00a0Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).\u00a0Those invited were eligible for a nomination\u00a0through the International Skilled Worker category under\u00a0the SINP.<\/p>\n
The International Skilled Worker Category has two subcategories:\u00a0<\/p>\n
A total of 99 immigration candidates were invited through the\u00a0Express Entry subcategory. Another 196 were invited through the Occupations In-Demand subcategory.<\/p>\n
Regardless of the subcategory,\u00a0candidates were first required to submit an\u00a0Expression of Interest (EOI) profile, and have a score\u00a0of at\u00a0least 80 EOI points.\u00a0In addition, they also needed an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to show that credential is comparable to a Canadian one.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Invited candidates needed to have\u00a0work experience in one of 62 in-demand\u00a0occupations.\u00a0These occupations are listed on this government webpage.<\/p>\n
Saskatchewan uses the EOI system to choose candidates who will most likely succeed in the province’s labour market.\u00a0<\/p>\n
If you’re interested in immigrating to Saskatchewan, you must first create an EOI profile. Your profile will be assessed on things like your work experience, education, language ability, age and connections to the province.<\/p>\n
Connections to the province can include having a job offer, or having a relative living in Saskatchewan.<\/p>\n
Based on these factors, you’ll be\u00a0given a point score out of 100, according to the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid.\u00a0The highest scoring candidates are invited to apply for a provincial nomination.<\/p>\n

The Canadian federal government\u00a0uses the\u00a0Express Entry system to manage permanent residence applications through the three main economic class immigration programs:<\/p>\n
Many provinces, including Saskatchewan,\u00a0also have their own immigration streams that are aligned with the Express Entry system. In Saskatchewan, the Express Entry sub-category\u00a0under the Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker category is an example of such a stream.<\/p>\n

This practically guarantees receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence\u00a0in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.<\/p>\n
Saskatchewan invited 196 candidates under the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.\u00a0Candidates do not need to have an Express Entry profile to be eligible under the sub-category.\u00a0<\/p>\n
If you have work experience in an occupation that would address Saskatchewan’s labour shortages, then this sub-category is for you.<\/p>\n
You would not need to have a job offer to be eligible. Foreign nationals are required to create an EOI profile through the province’s online application system.\u00a0<\/p>\n
