Eventually, money was raised to contest the deportation, and an online petition started on the family\u2019s behalf raised almost 16,000 signatures from Canada and around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The efforts of those concerned individuals recently paid off, when a Canadian Federal Court judge ordered a review of the Benhmuda\u2019s refugee application. Upon review, it was determined that their claims were substantial.
