The deadline has been adjusted from May 4 to May 31, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The Backlog Reduction Pilot Program was put in place to allow targeted Federal Skilled Worker applicants the opportunity to come to Canada through the Ontario PNP. In addition to the regular annual cap of 1,000 nominees, the program will allow up to 600 additional immigrants to become permanent residents in the province.<\/p>\n<p>This program is currently applicable for this year\u2019s selection cycle. Potential applicants that have been identified by the province were issued letters inviting them to apply to the Ontario PNP.
