{"id":3650,"date":"2024-10-19T18:05:45","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T18:05:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=3650"},"modified":"2024-10-19T18:05:45","modified_gmt":"2024-10-19T18:05:45","slug":"canada-has-most-multicultural-workplaces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration-services.org\/?p=3650","title":{"rendered":"Canada has most multicultural workplaces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/images\/_1200x630_crop_center-center_82_none\/canadavisa-canadian-immigration-law-firm.png?mtime=1656366736\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">  <\/p>\n<p>A new study by the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS) shows that Canada has the most multicultural workplaces of the four countries analyzed, being Canada, the United States, England, and France.<\/p>\n<p>The study\u2019s thrust is that \u201cthat people who work or learn in a diverse environment are more open to people from other cultures.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The study found the following percentage of those surveyed described their workplace or school as diverse:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>73% of Canadians<\/li>\n<li>70% of Americans<\/li>\n<li>68% of the British<\/li>\n<li>67% of the French<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Jack Jedwad, the executive director of the ACS, says that \u201cCanadians are stacking up as the country that has the most diverse workplaces.\u201d He continues, that the \u201cethnically diverse workplace generally produces more openness to cultural difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There are variations of diversity in Canada between its provinces, with Alberta coming out on top, with 81% of respondents classifying their work place or school as diverse.<\/p>\n<p>While the study also pointed out that Quebec has the least diverse workplaces in Canada, according to the Montreal Gazette, \u201cdiversity is increasingly becoming the hallmark of 21st-century Quebec,\u201d and that \u201cpopulation growth in the province is now primarily driven by immigration,\u201d and finally, that shortly, \u201cthe province almost entirely will be reliant on immigrants to swell the population and sustain its productivity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Quebec is a laggard then, in the diversity of its workplaces compared to the rest of Canada, which leads other countries according to the ACS study, no doubt an outcome of its highest per capita immigration on earth, with Quebec\u2019s own increasingly ethnic diverse population \u2014 also due largely to immigration, its workplace diversity will likely rise to more closely match the high numbers seen across the rest of the country.<\/p>\n<p>As Jedwab concludes \u201cGoing forward, as our workplace milieu and schools will become more diverse, it will likely generate more openness to difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Please visit:  <br \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/teo-bg.com\/en\/tractors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Our Sponsor<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new study by the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS) shows that Canada has the most multicultural workplaces of the four countries analyzed, being Canada, the United States, England, and France.The study\u2019s thrust is that \u201cthat people who work or learn in a diverse environment are more open to people from other cultures.\u201dThe study found&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":3651,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3650","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-immigration-services-at-one-place"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
