The Conference Board of Canada is predicting that Saskatchewan will experience a two and a half per cent growth in GDP in 2010. In addition, the province expects to welcome more immigrants this year thanks to its popular Provincial Nominee Program.<\/p>\n

The province\u2019s economy is expected to continue to grow in 2011 as well, driven by growth in the potash industry. Canada is the world\u2019s leading potash producer and the principal source of potash in Canada is Saskatchewan.<\/p>\n

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has become increasingly popular in recent years due to the available job opportunities in the province. In June 2009, when the province unveiled its new immigration strategy, it was estimated that 10,000 new immigrants would arrive in Saskatchewan as a result of the SINP over 2009-2010.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
