Today, IRCC issued 1,000\u00a0Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to more Canadian immigration candidates, this time exclusively for those who were eligible under the “transport occupations” category in line with the Express Entry category-based draws introduced earlier this year.\u00a0This draw invited eligible candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 435.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Below, this article will recap\u00a0every Express Entry draw results between the most recent draw prior to today (September 19th, 2023) and\u00a0June 27, the last time IRCC conducted an all-program draw before the first-ever category-based Express Entry draw took place on June 28, 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n
September 19<\/p>\n
The latest Express Entry draw before today’s round of invitations took place on September 19, when IRCC issued 3,200 ITAs to candidates with a minimum CRS score of 531. This was part of\u00a0an all-program draw.\u00a0<\/p>\n
August 15<\/p>\n
IRCC issued 4,300 ITAs in an all-program Express Entry draw. The minimum CRS score for this draw was\u00a0496. <\/p>\n
August 1-3<\/p>\n
August 3:\u00a0The latest Express Entry draw before today’s round of invitations took place on August 3rd, when IRCC issued 1,500 ITAs to immigration candidates in a category-based draw for those with work experience in the trades. The minimum CRS score for this draw was 388.\u00a0<\/p>\n
August 2:\u00a0IRCC held a category-based draw\u00a0for candidates with French-language proficiency, issuing 800 ITAs to candidates with a minimum CRS score of 435.\u00a0<\/p>\n
August 1:\u00a0IRCC held an all-program Express Entry draw, inviting 2,000 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 517. This draw considered immigration candidates\u00a0from all three programs contained within the Express Entry application management\u00a0system\u00a0 –\u00a0the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).<\/p>\n
July 4-12<\/p>\n
July 12:\u00a0IRCC invited 3,800 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 375 to apply for immigration to Canada in\u00a0a French language category-based\u00a0draw.\u00a0<\/p>\n
July 11:\u00a0IRCC conducted an all-program draw, issuing\u00a0800 ITAs to those with a minimum CRS score of 505.<\/p>\n
July 7:\u00a02,300 ITAs were issued to candidates with a CRS score of at least 439 in a French language category-based draw.<\/p>\n
July 6:\u00a01,500 ITAs were issued to candidates with a minimum CRS score of 463 in a\u00a0category-based draw for people in healthcare occupations.<\/p>\n
July 5:\u00a0500 ITAs were issued to candidates with a CRS score of at least 486 in a STEM occupation category-based draw.<\/p>\n
July 4:\u00a0700 ITAs were issued to candidates with a minimum CRS score of 511 in an all-program draw.<\/p>\n
June 27 and\u00a028<\/p>\n
June 28:\u00a0IRCC conducts the\u00a0first-ever category-based Express Entry draw, inviting\u00a0500 immigration candidates to immigrate to Canada. These candidates all had\u00a0experience in\u00a0healthcare occupations and a minimum CRS score of 476.<\/p>\n
June 27: IRCC issued\u00a04,300 ITAs to candidates with a CRS score of at least 486 in a standard all-program draw.<\/p>\n
Express Entry<\/p>\n
Express Entry is Canada’s application management system for three economic immigration\u00a0programs –\u00a0the FSWP, the FSTP and the CEC.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In a standard draw, candidates are assessed based on their human capital factors and assigned CRS\u00a0score. This score is used to\u00a0rank them against the other candidates in the Express Entry pool. When IRCC conducted an Express Entry draw, those with a\u00a0CRS score above the\u00a0cut-off score for a particular round of invitations\u00a0would receive an ITA during that draw.<\/p>\n
Since June 28 this year, IRCC has conducted\u00a0Express Entry draws focused on attracting immigration candidates with\u00a0specific attributes that align with the country’s most in-demand skills. These are called category-based Express Entry draws.\u00a0The following lists the\u00a0six new categories\u00a0chosen as priorities by IRCC in 2023, meaning that Canada has chosen to prioritize immigration candidates with work experience or proficiency in these areas:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
