The latest draw, held November 5, was the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)’s largest draw since July 30, which rendered 70 invitations. The BC PNP Tech Pilot is an initiative to support the province’s technology sector.

The Pilot allows international tech workers that have an eligible job offer in one of 29 tech occupations to obtain an accelerated pathway to Canadian permanent residence.

The Tech Pilot uses a points-based system called the BC PNP: Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) to evaluate candidates based on factors like education, work experience and proficiency in English or French.

Those selected in this draw needed a minimum score of 90 in each of the four Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration categories.

Invited candidates under the Express Entry BC stream who are approved for a British Columbia provincial nomination will receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points toward their Express Entry profile.
